| Nutplate day |
| After one week out of the shop (due to my day job), back to the installation of the wingtips. First I drilled, countersunk and riveted the small trailing edge rib. Then, as I choose to use screws to install the wingtip, I had to drill, countersink and rivet all the nutplates. There are 38 nutplates, that's 114 holes to drill (3 per nutplate : 2 rivets and one centerhole), 38 dimples and 114 holes to countersink. A lot of work to arrive at the result shown on the picture, where you can see some screws near the aileron bracket. And I only did the right wingtip, I'll tackle the left one tomorrow. Working time on this subpart Today : 3h (Total : 15h) |
