Rather than using a self-made auxiliary battery I bought the GRT set-up. It's quite difficult to find a good spot to install it. Under the seats and under the baggage floor, access is difficult. Behind the baggage area there might be wight and balance issues, and under the cowl temperatures might be a bit to high. So I opted for a position on the cabin side of the firewall behind the subpanel.



I made two small reinforcing plates that will support the nutplates. One or two rivets will hold the plates to the firewall.
