We were thinking today's job would be easy and we would be able to flip the canoe early, but we noticed that the bottom forward skin was wrongly installed.
There is a side plate on the forward bulkhead that should be sandwiched between the bottom skin and the bulkhead, and we had installed the skin between the sideplate and the bulkhead. This could pose a problem when bolting on the landing gear mounts.
So we drilled out a hundred small rivets, which was easy, but also about thirty bigger rivets which was much less. The end result is we managed to reinstall everything and only have two bad looking holes that will get bolts instead of rivets.
Here is one of the rivet line we had to drill out.

Then we finished all the riveting left. To flip the whole assembly we first put the fuselage upside down on smaller sawhorses.

Then Sabine and Antoine came to help flip the canoe. Here are the first pictures, it looks quite big. Before working again on the fuselage, I'll cut some height of the wooden sawhorses to be able to work at more manageable height.
We resisted climbing into the cockpit considering the plastic sawhorses where not that sturdy.

Second day of fuselage riveting. We managed to finish the right side, both armrests and all the internal rivets. We have begun the riveting of the belly skins, we still have around 150 rivets to buck before flipping the canoe. This shoud happen tomorrow afternoon.
On the photo, the universal head rivets joining the lateral skin to one of the seat ribs. The upper line gave us some headache with a few rivets to drill out and buck again. The rivets will be hidden once the wings are on.

My dad being here for a few days, we begun riveting the fuselage. The rivet callout on the forward part is always a bit on the short side, so we had to drill out a few.

Here is the left fuselage (still being uspside down)). The rivet line at the lower part will be riveted much later with the top skins.

There are also a few rivets to squeeze on the stiffeners in the forward part of the fuselage.

All the rivets cannot be squeezed, here is one I could not reach, I'll have to buck it next time.

Today I filished preparing the forward fuselage for riveting. First the firewall is bolted to the lower longeron.

Then all the skins and stiffeners are clecoed in place. I also noted the rivet type on the skins near the holes to avoid having to look at the plans to often. Riveting should begin on monday.

Before beginning the reassembly of the forward fuselage, and as there is still good access to the rear fuselage, I decide to install the strobes power pack. It's not as easy as expected as the access to the pop rivets used is very difficult.

Before assembling the fuselage a few parts have to be assembled on the bench, for exemple the firewall gussets.

Also the main bulkhead sides have to be rivetd to the skins as the rivets will be impossible to set once the skin is on the fuselage.

Then all the parts are reassembled . I had some holes to redrill, some dimples that were forgotten and some priming to re-do. Here is the result, now all has to be riveted.
