Some more work on the intercom. I have to rewire one of the mike plugs as the wires are a bit too short. The soldering has to be done in situ which poses some challenges.

I then finish the wiring of the intercom connector and connect all the shields and grounds (12 wires in total). I also notice that my intercom drawing is somewhat wrong and need some time to sort everything out.
The picture shows the audio mixer on the left (the gray D-sub connector) and the intercom connector on the right.

I do all this work under the supervision of Fany our new house pet.

After some small tasks, I installed the LED showing that the auxiliary battery is charging. I hesitated quite some time before installing it near the battery switch. The LED sould remain off most of the time after the battery is charged after the beginning of a flight.

I then wired the audio mixer and the intercom. The connections on the audio mixer are done, there are a few wires remaining on the intercom connector.
Most of the wires are shielded and the shields have to be connected. To do this, I leave a few millimeter of shield apparent.

I then use a solder sleeve installed with a heat gun.

I continue working on the harnesses and wire runs. I find a problem with the trim control unit. The box has been one of the first I installed and the harness goes through the subpanel. To be able to work on the connector, I planned some slack in the harness but the slack disappeared in the wiring euphoria.
I fabricated an extension harness.

For the connexion I used D-subs, but I'm missing one connector and one shell.
Once this was done I reconnected all the wires I had to disconnect in the last week

Before closing the connexions on the EIS, I check the engine temperature sensor by heating them. I find a problem with the EGT on cylinder 3 (EGT3 at 24), it goes down instead of up. I'm the culprit as I managed to swap two wires despite them being color coded.

I first reinstalled the auxiliary battery and clamped down the harness below.

I then made some nicer harnesses to the forrest of tabs. I still have some work to do on the harness running below the forrest of tabs, but first I will have to clamp down the harnesses climbing from the floor along the firewall.

Today I fabricated a few small brackets that will allow to bolt the c-clamps used to hold the harnesses. The picture shows a few of them.

And this picture shows the brackets riveted to the rib. The c-clamp will be installed later.

After having reconnected some wires I had to disconnect yesterday, I worked on the wires running along the firewall under the auxiliary battery and under the forrest of tabs.
The picture shows the wires after the battery has been removed.

To hold all the wires, I installed two small brackets on the auxiliary battery box.
