Drilled the fule tank inspection holes. They get drilled with a circle cutter on the innermost rib. The picture shows the finished job. During drilling, the rib has to be clamped down to avid any mishap and a low drill speed has to used (250 rpm).

Some small work on the left tank, this one is equipped for aerobatics. So the first task is to build as small trap door for the second rib, this doors closes so as to trap the fuel in the first bay where the fule pick-up is.

The fuel pickup fittings goes through the angle fabricated yesterday. The rivets have to be positionned carefully so as to be able to tighten the nut.

Here the end result. I still have to install the fuel senders and the inspection hole cover.

Today, some work on the tanks while waiting for the parts from Vans for the wings. First I disassembled the tanks, the I fabricated the stiffeners that will be riveted to the lower skin. As usual the stiffeners have to be cut, drilled, deburres and dimpled

The I fabricated some small parts for the fuel tank. The fuselage attach angles being the more difficult parts. They ar cut from some heavy aluminium angle and need quite a few cuts and sanding to fit correctly there intended place.
