Today, while I was drilling the fuel tanks, Sabine deburred the external part of both upper wing skins. Work is 90% done.

I begun the long and tedious work of deburring the wing skins. I'll do it in small sessions. In one hour I managed to get the two right underwing skins almost finished. I also drilled to size the holes where the inspection plates will be screwed on.

Finished the underwing accessplates by drilling, deburring and dimpling them. Just have to be careful about hole size.



The upperwing skins need a doubler near the wing root, because it's there that pilot and passenger will step on the wings. This doubler is just cut from some aluminium sheet and then backdrilled using the skin as a template. Then all the holes got deburred.

After having found about my error from yesterday, I decided to tackle a less error prone task: removing the blue plastic protection on the skins rivet lines.
