Before going on with the hinge pins, I rivet the locks on the oil filler door. To solve my little problem from yesterday, I decide to fabricate a new bracket. This is the result after cutting, drilling, priming and riveting. The part looks much better now. The I fabricate the two covers. I had first made them quite thick but they prove difficult to adjust, so I made them thinner and will shim where needed. Working time on this subpart Today : 3h (Total : 130h) |

After priming the small brckets, they got riveted to the cowl halves. This the right side with a small problem on the upper cowl. The screw is a near the edge of the hole, so I either enlarge the hole or fabricate a new bracket. I'll see that tomorrow Working time on this subpart Today : 1h (Total : 127h) |

Still working on the hinge pins. This is a picture of the two bracket with one of the screws holding the hinge pin. This is a trial in making the small part that will get screwed on the cowl. The final part will only get fabricated after the two bracket are riveted to the cowls so as to get the holes in the correct postion. I also sanded the scoop, there is still some filling to be done on that part. Working time on this subpart Today : 2h (Total : 126h) |

I will install a pressure switch to illuminate a light in the panel should the oil pressure drop. I will use a small copper tubing between the EIS pressure sensor and the the upper postion in the manifold. I only have to buy a new pressure switch as the one I have is a normally open switch and I need a normally closed one. Working time on this subpart Today : 1h (Total : 138h) |
