Next thing to do is drill the main gear support an legs. To avoid having the legs stuck in the support all tye parts get thouroughly sanded.

Here the result with the bolt inserted.

I the fabricate the elevator pushrods, there are two of them : one small from the stick to the bellcarank in the fuselage and one from the bellcrank to the elevator. To drill the ends I use the usual trick, by using a piece of adhesive with equidistant marks.

Here the two pushrods ready for priming.

The flap installation is going on with the match drilling of the covers.

I also installed and tested the flaps motor, but forgot to take a picture. Then I had to drill, deburr, dimple and countersink for the numerous nutplates that have to be installed. Here are two on the firewall recess.

In the end a bunch of parts that have to be primed.

To end taday's session, I cut and tapped the two flap push rods that will connect the tube in the fuselage with the flap. The tapping has to be made very slowly and the result looks quite flimsy but is as per plan.

I first begin by drilling all that's left from yesterday, Sabine came out to deburr all the parts. I then begin the installation of the flap mechanism. The first thing to do is to drill the actuator for a safety wire, the hole is small and cost me a drill.

Then a few small parts have to be fabricated.

Then the control rod and some parts get installed, there is still some more work to be done : some drilling ans some parts to be installed.

Just for fun, I installed the parts of the forward fuselage holding the instrument panel.

I should not have worked on the plane today, but I should have been flying to Canada. The cabin crews are on strike, so my flight got cancelled. I continued tackling the forward cabin covers, first by installing the parts prepared yesterday.

Then I installed the big central cover, the small side covers and the fuel valve support.

The same parts on the firewall side.

As my engine will be fuel injected, I have to modify the central cover to install a high pressure fuel pump (for carbureted engine there is a small pump on the firewall). The first alteration will be to cut the big central cover to install the part on the right.

After a few more mods, here is the new installation.

I also installed the covers on the main bulkhead, I found nothing in the manual about when they get installed, so now it's done.

Still reinstalling the sticks, the operation is not very easy due to the difficult access to install all the washers. Then the riblets and the forward floors get reinstalled.
I have a small amount of play on the right stick, according to the specialist websites this is not uncommon and without any consequence.

Then a few covers have to be installed, I begin by fabricating the one between the seats. The Z channel having to be cut quite precisely I decide to do it next time after having rechecked my measurments.
