A whole day in the workshop to try to tidy up all the wiring. All gets slowly into place. This is a picture of the back of the firewall, the harness will route below the EFIS battery after I reinstall it.

These is the forrest of tabs, I think I have almost all the connections done.

This is the front of the subpanel, it's much cleaner than the picture shows.

This is the right hand side harness running from the firewall towards the instrument panel. There is another harness on the left hand side.

These are the wire runs n the floor, still a few things to tidy up there.

I first fabricate the Garmin 496 harness.
I then continue tidying up all the wiring. I run into some troubles as the wires crisscross each other on no particular order. I have to open some connections and cut some wires.
The problems arise from the fact that the wiring fabrication was done without any method and order. The only consequence so far is the time lost sorting all out.

I go on tidying up the wiring behind the panel. This is was the back of the row of switches looks like.

I then install the autopilot command box to check if the wiring clear the box with enough distance. This side looks good.

This is a picture of the other side, the box is behind the rib with the terminal strip. Initially I wanted to fasten the harness to the bottom flange of the rib, but this would mean putting a tight bend in the harness, so I will have to find another way.

I also arranged some other wires, among them those of the flaps positionning system.

I forst install the autopilot harness behind the panel.
As almost all the wires are installed, I try to tidy up the harnesses. It would be easier if I had some knitting experience. This is a picture of the front of the subpanel, and it looks much cleaner than one hour before.

Some wires are not connected for the time being, the picture shows most of the wires going to the fuse blocks.

I finish today's work session by lacing the switches' wires. I try to leave enough slack to be able to unplug the wire but not too much to avoid them getting broken through vibrations.
