To be able to work on the cowl, the propeller and later the canopy again, I had to turn the plane around.
Sabine and Antoine gave a hand, the plane is quite heavier with the engine.
Antoine had to try out the seating.

The upper inlet ramps have to be bonded to the upper cowl. The cowls are installed on the plane to avoid distortions during the curing process.

The alternator needs to be cooled. The air intake is on the right forward ramp. The air has then to be directed to the aft side of the alternator. After several tests with different setups, I think this one looks the best. It's a small piece of aluminium sheet , bent to hold the hose in the correct position.

The parts I received in the Vans firewall forward kit for the engine breather installation didn't work for my setup. The oil filter is in the way of the hose and the aluminium tubing.
So I decided to do it may way by installing a hose all the way.
Here is the engine side behind the oil filter.

And this is the outlet going into a bowl I bought at Aircraft Spruce, but I think any sturdy bowl would be suitable.

I also fabricated new lower baffle pins.

Still working on the scoop.
First the foam block has to come out. Then after some cleaning, a few layers of fiberglass are put on scoop from the inside so it is also held from inside the cowl.
For the time being it does not look too bad.

As I have some epoxy left, I begin the tedious process of filling the thousand pinholes on the cowl.
