The afternoon was spent finishing the plumbimg, or rather tidying all around the brake and fuel line. First I had to bend the ears of the forward cover before checking there was no interference with all the lines. Due to the floor vibrations, the lines have to be supported. I cut some heavy foam, but as I will also install some noise attenuation foam it comes out too thick. I will have to find some thinner foam, or come up with another idea. Then I bolted the fuel valve to its bracket, reinstalled the fuel pimp, tweaked a bit the line to the left fuel tank. I only have to check there is no serious interference between all this lines and may be protect some with plastic tubing. Working time on this subpart Today : 2h (Total : 190h) |

Today, was plumbing day. first I redo the lines from the fuel selector to the tanks. No problems as I had some training earlier on. I also have to redo the right side as it is supposed to connect directly to the tank as this tank does not have a flop tube. I install some protection to avoid bending the tubing while wrking around the cockpit. Not aerodynamic at all. Then I install the tubing for the brakes between the park brake valve and the exit to the landing gear legs. Makes for a lot of tubings below the fuel valve. This is a picture of the park brake valve connections. Working time on this subpart Today : 3h (Total : 188h) |
