I first redo the safety wire on the fuel pump, the wire is now on the correct side of the bolt. I then begin to fabricate the big wires needed firewall forward. These are the relays, with the alternator cable on the lower left, the main bus cable on the lower right and the positive battery cable above the others. The starter cable is not visible but hooked to the relay on the right. The is the negative side of the battery with the cable from the battery to the firewall and from the firewall to the engine. For safety, I will install a second ground cable from the engine to the firewall. Working time on this subpart Today : 3h (Total : 142h) |

I reinstall the engine fuel pump for the fimal time. The safety wire is a pain to install, and I will have to redo it as the right hand bolt can unscrew without putting any tension on the wire. Must have been dreaming, or just choose the easiest side. Working time on this subpart Today : 2h (Total : 139h) |

I first rivet the nutplates for the upper nose gear leg fairing. Then I fill all the small defects I have found on the cowls. I also make a shim with epoxy between the forward support bracket and the part that will close the cowls. I think it's easier this way than fabricating aluminium shims. I think that after some sanding, the cowls will be ready for priming. Working time on this subpart Today : 2h (Total : 132h) |
