A very sunny day allowed me to prime all the parts I had waiting. First all the perts get degreased, then I change into a little gren man to begin the actual painting.

Here, some of the parts are drying in the winter sun. I got lucky because despite a faulty compressor I could finish all the parts. Now I have to find out why the compressor won't go above 30psi.

The gascolator is not needed for fuel injection according to Van's, but I decided to install one. First the doubler is installed on the cabin side of the firewall.

Then I fabricate a support bracket for the Andair gascolator I'm going to install. This has to be done because the ports on the Vans gascolator are not at the same place as those on the Andair.

This is a picture of the gascolator installed on the firewall.

After the deburring and dimpling of all the parts, I had time to finish the battery tray. The tray has been repainted and the angles and nutplates riveted.

I found the correct tubing bender so I fabricated the three tubes needed on the fuel pump. I went quite well, I only had to redo one, and forgot no sleeve and no nut.

The I prepare the line going from te pump to the firewall. I still have to finish the firewall end as I don't know the entry point.

One hour to install the rudder cable fairings. First the holes had to be dimpled, this required some innovative thinking due to the lack of access. The cables had also to be removed. I used pop rivets.
