Today I was supposed to spray the primer on most of the fiberglass parts. The visual inspection of the parts seemed to show that the surface finish was good enough for painting. But after painting, a lot of pinholes showed up.

As I didn't paint all the parts, I brushed epoxy on the remaining parts to fill all the holes. I used some black dye to be able to see how I'm progressing on the part.
I think I will need a second pass after some light sanding.

An to finish, I sanded some of the parts that got primed at the beginning of the work session.

After some sanding, I removed the masking tape. The upper part of the fairing looks quite good except a few bad spots.
So I put on new masking tape and did the filling.

Before insalling some clamps around some engine accessories, I have to install a few camlocks on the lower cowl to be able to install it later to make some interference checks.
Visually, the result is really pleasing.

After some tweaking, I find a correct postion. I mark all the elements to be able to be make the final installation later.

I then install the overflow tubing of the engine fuel pump. The picture shows the lower part of the tubing where it exits the cowl.

I then put two clamps on the exit tubing of the left muffler. Six hand would be handy to install the two clamps, the bolt, the washer and the nut.
The trick is to use some safety wire (still visible) to maintain the clamps closed

Some more sanding and filling on the canopy forward fairing. The back side of my sanding block has the correct shape. I also began sanding the upper part of the fairing where it meets with the plexi.
