Today, I fabricated the parts to install the parking brake valve. The valve will be bolted to some hat channel I cut yesterday.

The lever might get stuck if aligned with the control cable, so I fabricate some part with two stops. On the picture, the lever in the open position in contact with the stop.

Here the closed position in contact with the stop.

The installation in the cabin needs for a bracket to be removed. The bracket was installed during the firewall assembly. I'll rivet the new support at the same place.

Here the part is installed; I still have to prime the parts. The forward ports will be connected to the left brake pedals and the lower ports to the brakes.

Today the finishing kit, the propeller and the firewall forward kit have been delivered. Here the big box is sitting in my neighbour's garage, he allowed me to use some space I don't have.

The crate is now opended, with a view of the pink lower engine cowling. On the left as small glimpse of the canopy and on the right one of the wheel fairings still wrapped in paper.

Here the entire canopy, below is the canopy skin, the engine mount and the tires. The packing was very well done, nothing broken.

The inventory didn't take to long there are fewer parts that in the other subkits. Two items ar backordered and some bolts are missing (seems some bags got mixed up). Not a big deal, I think we'll have all sorted out in a few days.

I first reinstalled all the panel structure. I know there will be an EFIS on the left hand side of the panel, and the rib is dead center. So this rib has to be modified. It has already be done and Van's doesn't object.
The first thing to do is to cut the rib down.

Here it is done.

Then some angle is adpated to the cut part. This will allow that part to be riveted to the subpanel, the exact position will be known later.

I also riveted the airvent brackets.

An finally, I installed the steps brackets under the baggage hold floor.
